KAPGAN Fighting Unmanned Aerial Vehicle
Our UAV project, prepared for the Teknofest 2021 Fighting UAV Competition and winning the competition
We participated in the Teknofest 2021 Fighting UAV Competition and won the "Most Original Software" award, one of the most prestigious awards in Turkey. In our team, I took sole responsibility for all UAV software, including the artificial intelligence unit, main management unit and ground control station unit software.
Artificial intelligence unit: I trained an artificial intelligence model with the Faster-RCNN algorithm that can recognise drone objects. With this model, I was able to detect objects coming from the camera.
Main management unit: In the software I coded in Python programming language, I evaluated the data from the Artificial Intelligence unit of IHA and ran the algorithm required for the competition.
Ground Control Station unit:I coded my award-winning C# based software for this project, which provides data flow between the main management unit, flight control card and contest server. Details
